Michael Hartner

Long time Safford resident, Mike Hartner passed away suddenly and peacefully at his home Friday December 2nd. Mike was born October 21, 1942 in Canton, Ohio to Milton "Red" Hartner and Elizabeth "Betty" Welsh Hartner. His family moved to Arizona in 1945 where he then resided his entire life except during his service in the Navy. He is survived by his wife Sheila, daughters Kathrine Jaksich and Denise Hartner, son-in-law Mike Jaksich and grandchildren Alyssa Jaksich and Dylan Jaksich. He is also survived by sister Barbie Sack of San Diego, brothers Dick Hartner of Safford and Ed Hartner of Duncan, half brother Robert Hartner of Florida and half sister Helen Kramer of New Jersey. A memorial service with Military Honors will be held Friday December 9, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at McDougal's Funeral Chapel in Safford Arizona. Internment will be at a later date in the family plot in the Franklin Cemetery.
