Michael Lucero

Michael Stevan Lucero, 33, of Safford passed away on July 18, 2020, with his mother Melissa and his fiance Candice at his side. He was born on December 31, 1986, in Safford to parents Ernesto Estevan Lucero, Jr. & Melissa Webb Lucero with sisters Tiffany & Crystal. Michael attended Safford High School and later found the love of his life, Candice Rios. Together they were blessed with 2 children; Nevaeh & Mikelle Lucero. Michael loved to go hunting, fishing, camping, spending quality time with his family, listening to country music, and working in the construction industry. Sometimes he just enjoyed doing nothing and being a "Mama's boy" and an Uncle, those things made his day. He was a Son, Fiance, Father, Brother, Uncle, and nephew. Michael was a great father and would often say "I'm not as good as I once was, but I'm as good now as I'm gonna be" and "I got this!" He was very respectful, kind, and courteous, and had a great sense of humor. Michael will truly be missed by all who had the opportunity to get to know him. Michael is survived by his one true love Candice Rios, his children Nevaeh & Mikelle Lucero, his mother Melissa Lucero, and his sisters Tiffany & Crystal Lucero. He was preceded in death by his father Ernesto Lucero, Jr. A viewing will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2020, at the McDougal's Caldwell Funeral Chapel beginning at 4:00 p.m. followed by the funeral service at 5:00 p.m.
