Michael Peter Morrison 1938 - 2009 Mike passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on the morning of August, 20 2009. Mike, who was a Father, Grand Father, Great Grand Father, Uncle, Great Uncle, Brother, Cousin, Friend, Husband and Ex-Husband was born on May, 30 1938 in Evanston, Illinois to Frank Rich Morrison and Kathryn Kelley. He joins his loving parents, his big sister Joan, grandparents, great grandparents, grandson Tyler and everyone that he knew and loved. Mike is survived by his loving wife, Nelsie, whom he married on November 18, 1977. They had 3 boys together. Antonio Joseph (Kristi), Frank Kelley, and John Paul Morrison. Michael is also survived by his first love and wife Dolores whom he married on April 4, 1958 and their 5 boys, Michael Jr., Edward Francis (Margo) Morrison, John Patrick, Daniel Brian (Michelle) and William Shawn (Beth) Morrison, his beautiful 20 grand children and 6 great grand children with one more on the way, his Brothers Frank (Cheryl), Matthew (Penny), Edward Kelley, his sister Mary Kelley, Joseph Joe Pete (Emily), David (Connie) Morrison, Numerous cousins, nephews nieces and friends. Mike proudly served his country for 21 years in the Army and Air Force. He was a Vietnam Veteran and loved his country. Mike was always a straight straight shooter and had a big heart. He was always helping people even if he hardly knew them. Mike was a natural comedian and always made you laugh. He was charming and charismatic. He loved to travel which he did a lot of in the military and was culturally rich. He loved people of all walks of life. He never discriminated and saw you for who you were. He was a genuine man with great integrity. He loved his family and would travel great distances to see them. He was proud of his family and always bragged about his sons. For the most part, Mike always put other peoples interest in front of his. He cared about his family a great deal. Mike had a passion for cars especially in his younger days. He owned many different cars. Although his profession was power generation Mike was a great mechanic and rebuilt many engines. He loved speed and torque. He was pretty handy with everything. Mike also enjoyed old westerns and movies in general. Mike really loved coffee and cigarettes. He was a Notre Dame Fan and a pretty good cook. Mike was a great story teller and shared his many adventures from all over the world. He experienced a lot in his life. Mike was a social genius and had a great ability to communicate with people of all cultures. People liked Mike and were at ease with him instantly. He had an amazing aura. Mike will be sorely missed and those that loved him look forward to reuniting with him in the future. We love you and thank you for everything! Mikes legacy and many memories will live on!
