Michael Pender

Michael William Pender, 57, of Safford, passed away on Sunday, July 22, 2012 at Mt. Graham Regional Medical Center. He was born on June 4, 1955 in Tucson, to William Arthur Pender and Norma Montierth Pender. He married Patti Miller in Sierra Vista and has been married over 25 years. Mike grew up in Holbrook, AZ, and graduated from Holbrook High School. He attended Mesa Community College. He worked in the Laundry and Linen business for many years. He managed the Tower Mobile Home Park for the past 21 years until he succumbed to a lengthy illness. He loved to work and be busy. He was a member of the American Legion in Safford. He loved to golf and was good at it. He is survived by his wife Patti Pender of Safford; sons, Beau Pender and Keith Pender both of Safford; sister, Barbara (Neil) DeWitt of Safford; grandchildren, Danielle Pender of Safford, and Jeremy McCoy of Sierra Vista. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Danielle Colby. Memorial services will be at 12 p.m. on Thursday, July 26, 2012 at the Safford American Legion.
