Michael Lynn Turpin Beloved Husband and Father Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, Michael Lynn Turpin, age 66, passed away on August 11, 2010. Born December 7, 1943 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Allan Walter and Louise Beckstead Turpin. Married Jody Lena Edwards on November 19, 1983 in Salt Lake City, later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on April 29, 2009. Mike was a long time bus driver. He retired from Greyhound, then worked at the airport as a driver. He loved to travel and really enjoyed his trips and camping with his family. He had a huge, giving heart and always opened his home and heart to his kids friends. Survived by wife, Jody; children, Angie Turpin, Chad (Amber) Keig, Curtis (Kami) Keig, Jason (Mindy) Turpin, Kristin (Greg) Thornton, Ryan Turpin; grandchildren, Judith, Kanyon and Kaleb; brothers, Riley (Nada) Turpin, Leon (Toddy) Batt; sister, Gaye Johnson. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 16, 2010, 11:00 a.m. at the Mountain Shadow 7th Ward, 7925 South 2700 West. Viewings will be Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and on Monday at the church from 10-10:45 a.m. Interment, Utah Veterans Memorial Park Tuesday, 4:00 p.m.
