Michaelena Marie Wilson, 30, of Bylas, passed away on February 1, 2020. She was born on November 11, 1989, in Phoenix, AZ to Wesley Wilson & Velma Preston Wilson.

Michaelena attended Ft. Thomas elementary school until the 8th grade. She later attended San Carlos High School and graduated in 2007. She attended and graduated from Brookline College in Mesa, AZ as a Patient Care Technician. She excelled in phlebotomy, electrocardiography and respiratory therapy.
Because she truly cared for those who had a severe health issue, she dedicated herself to the medical field. Michaelena was employed by the Renal Care in Peridot and also with the San Carlos Apache Healthcare as a patient technician in the Emergency Room.
How she got her name "Flowers" from her late grandpa, Henry Preston was watching the movie "Bambi", he wanted to know what the skunk's name was so Uncle Ronnie said "flowers" that's how her grandpa gave her that name. She was a big fan of ASU and liked to listen to Reggae music. The song "Angels Above Us" is dedicated to her memory.
Michaelena is survived by her parents Wesley & Velma Wilson, her long time companion Willaim Selestewa, Jr., and her 2 children Lesleyana Joy Wilson and Sonny Ivan Selestewa. She is also survived by her brother Jaysen Waterman, and sister Jamie Edwards and numerous aunts & uncles.
She had so many friends that will miss her.
A wake will be held on Friday, February 14, 2020 beginning at 4:00 p.m. at the Wilson residence in Bylas. The funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 15th starting at 1:00 p.m. at the Ernest Stanley Memorial Hall with interment in the Navajo Point Cemetery.
