Myrl K. Talley, 74, of Safford, passed away March 15, 2015 at his home with his loving family at his side. Myrl was born September 23, 1940 in Kimball, AZ to James Eskew & Agatha Adams Talley. He attended schools in Safford and graduated from Safford High School. He then went on to attend Eastern Arizona College. He married Carolyn Ann Elmer in the Institute Building at Eastern Arizona College on November 24, 1961. He was employed by the State of Arizona Highway Department where he worked for 39 years as the Senior Engineer Specialist. Myrl was sealed to his loving wife, Carolyn, and his family, in the Mesa Arizona Temple on March 5, 1977. In his spare time he enjoyed being with his family and friends, training Border Collies, participating in 4-H with his grandchildren and farming his own land. Myrl is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn Ann Talley, daughters; Tracie Lynn Talley, Terrie Louise Ferrin, Tammie LeAnn Wenberg and Tonie LaDawn Skinner, sisters; Valene Leverich and Velma Kight, his 13 Bakers Dozen grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; James and Agatha Talley and his sister Penny Talley. A viewing for Myrl will be held on Sunday, March 22, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Caldwell Funeral Chapel, and again on Monday, March 23, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Thatcher Stake Center with the funeral beginning at 10:00 a.m. with Bishop Ron Howard conducting. Interment will be in the Graham Cemetery following the services.
