Myrna P. Jensen Our Mother Gone is the face we loved so dear, Silent is the voice we loved to hear; Too far away for sight or speech, But not too far for thoughts to reach. Our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Myrna Peterson Jensen, left this earth peacefully on August 3, 2007, with her loving family surrounding her. Born January 12, 1936, in Hinckley, Utah, to Meron and Adell Peterson. She attended Hinckley and Delta High Schools, where she met her sweetheart, Fred W. Jensen at a basketball game. They were married September 1, 1955 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple sharing 51 happy years together. Myrna lost the love of her life on February 14, 2007. She worked for ZCMI as a department manager and then for Valley Bank in the credit card department. Her greatest joy was her family. She loved being a wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Our mother enjoyed going on family vacations and experiencing all that life had to offer her. Myrna was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings. She is survived by her daughters, Cheryl (Jeff) Brown, Karen (Dan) Ewert; 13 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sister, Merodean (Myron) Anderson and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her devoted husband; parents; sister, Ruth (Bill) Johnson. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 9, 2007, 12:00 noon at the Westshire Ward, 2850 West 3835 South. Family and friends may call Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and Thursday from 11-11:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
