Myron Burnside

October 7, 1961 — February 11, 2022

Myron E. Burnside of Morenci unexpectedly passed away on February 11, 2022, at the age of 60. Myron was born on October 7, 1961, in Fort Defiance, Arizona to parents Milton & Anne Burnside with siblings Melissa, Marvin, Anne, Clint, and Melvin. He attended schools in Window Rock, graduating from Window Rock High School in 1981. Myron then went on to Haskell Indian Nations Junior College graduating in 1983, earning his Associated Degree. On January 3, 1987, Myron married Bobbi Ann Guoladdle in St. Michael, Arizona, and they were blessed with three children; Monique, Milton, and Marcella. Myron was a Jack-of-all-trades who could literally build anything. He was a Sasquatch enthusiast, an outer space conspirator, a sudoku wizard, and a self-entitled champion, he was very witty, and everywhere he went made a big impression. Myron was enthusiastic, genuine, humble, and a storyteller. He was a family man who loved his family and his nieces and nephews. Some of his favorite sayings were "Be of good cheer, and don't fear", "Look unto me in every thought, doubt not, fear not", "Perfect love casteth out all fear", "Pretty good all right", and "One plus one equals eleven". Myron is survived by his beloved wife Bobbie Ann, his children Monique (Brock Runsabove) Burnside, Milton (Cherish) Burnside, and Marcella (Steven Cunningham) Burnside, his siblings Melissa Burnside, Marvin (Ellen) Burnside, and Anne Burnside, his granddaughter Honor Runsabove, and his cat Chuch. He is preceded in death by his parents Milton & Anne Burnside, and his older brother Melvin. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 16th from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m. at the McDougal's Caldwell Funeral Chapel. The family wishes to extend a very "heartfelt" acknowledgment to the F.M.I./ Fabrication, Shovel & Drill Shop, his work family, who effortlessly looked out for him! Arrangements are being cared for by McDougal's Caldwell Funeral Chapel & Gila Valley Crematory located at 112 E. Main Street, Safford, Arizona 85546, 928-428-1740, www.caldwellfuneralchapel.com.
