Nadine Elms, 75, of Duncan, passed away Sunday, June 26, 2011 after a courageous battle with cancer. Nadine was born on October 19, 1935 to Hazel Irene Sanders and Wilmer Stephens. She married Thomas R. Elms on January 17, 1953 in Duncan; their marriage was later solemnized in the Mesa LDS Temple. Nadine is survived by her husband of 58 years; daughter, Julie R. Hughes; and sons, Stephen R. (Debra) Elms and Thomas G. (Susan) Elms; a brother, Bill Stephens; 12 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. She dedicated her life to the raising of her five children and to loving and caring for her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Norma Odell, Maxine Gilliland, and Susan Romney; and a brother Wilmer Stephens. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 2, 2011 at the Duncan LDS Stake Center, with Bishop Buddy Jensen officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will be in the Duncan Cemetery.
