Narda June Gause entered eternal life on July 9, 2024 at her home in Thatcher, Arizona.
Narda was born in Safford, Arizona on July 24, 1949 to Bernard & Una Mae Smith. She was the third of four children.
As a teen, Narda worked at the Dairy Queen before moving to Mesa, Arizona for a time. While in Mesa, she met David Gause and they were married in May of 1988. They were blessed with one child before divorcing in 1997.
They then re-married in 2001.
Following her return to Safford, Narda went back to school to obtain her college degree. Afterwards, she worked as a secretary at Graham County ARC (now Graham County Rehabilitation Center) for several years before obtaining employment at the Department of Economic Security. She enjoyed her work very much before retirement in June of 2024.
Throughout her life, Narda has enjoyed working on her hobbies of plastic canvas needle work, needle-point, and crocheting along with watching movies and reading.
Narda was preceded in death by her parents Bernard Smith & Una Mae Larson, her brother George Smith, her husband David Gause, and brother-in-law Steve Gause. She is survived by her daughter Amanda Gause, step-sons Jacob (Buffy) Clark and Dale Lipke, her sisters Emily (Don) Knight, and Claudia (Don) Morris, her sister-in-law Toni Gause, and her step and half siblings, and two grandchildren.
Memorial services for Narda will be held on July 19, 2024 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Church Street Chapel in Thatcher beginning with a visitation at 9:00 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 10:00. Narda will be laid to rest in the Thatcher Cemetery following services.
