Nathaniel Peña

March 17, 2004 — December 24, 2013

Nathaniel Pena, was born March 17, 2004 and went home on December 24, 2013. He was an angel who we were truly blessed to have for an extraordinary nine (9) years and nine (9) months. After twenty-eight (28) months of a courageous battle of osteosarcoma cancer he has now been raised to live with our Father in Heaven. We as a Christian family know because of our faith the the Lord has him now, so we ask you to celebrate his life. Nathaniel loved to play games on his PS3, XBOX 360 and was quite amazingly good playing one handed. Nathaniel is someone who we can look up to as our hero because of his courage, strength and faith. He will truly be loved and missed, but he couldn't be in a better place or in better hands with our one and only father, GOD. His surviving family includes his, father and mother, Steven & Christiana Mingura; papa, Steve Pena; Grandma Lisa Pena; Uncle Steve J.Pena; and his loving companion dogs Kooney and Alli. All cherish his heart and soul and loved Nathaniel beyond words. Nathaniel's Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held, Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 2:00 p.m., at the Church at Safford, following to Safford Cemetery and proceeding back to the celebration hall at The Church at Safford. We wish to give our gratitude and thanks to Nathaniel's doctors, Dr. Keith and Dr. Jones, his nurses, Gila Valley Clinic, Phoenix Children's Hospital, Make a Wish Foundation and everyone who has been there for us in one way or another; which is really this entire community. We are blessed to have had you all in Nathaniel's life and for that we are grateful. We hope to see you there and God Bless.
