Neata LaRue Bosworth McDougal 1917 ~ 2010 Our mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away, October 1, 2010. Mom had been surrounded by her loving family all day and into the night until she returned to her Heavenly Father. Neata was born September 3, 1917 to John William and Annie Lauretta Bosworth in Preston, Idaho. Preceded in death by her husband, James McDougal, parents and siblings. Survived by her eight children: Gloria (Harvey) Hansen, Glenn (Neide) Day, Gwenn (Con) Ellis, Richard (Rose) Smith, Alan (Jayne) Smith, Bob (Ellen) McDougal, Shirley Kearl, Connie (Parley)Briggs Hall; many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mom was always a hard worker. She was a good neighbor and a friend to many. She was a good cook. Mom was a beautiful seamstress, and spent her life making beautiful quilts, knitting and crocheting Afghans. She was a member of the LDS Church and fulfilled many callings. She enjoyed going to the Temple. She also did extraction work for many years. She was loved by all who knew her. Neata's family would like to extend their appreciation for the love and dedication shown to her during her last year of life by Hearts for Hospice, The Coventry Independent and Assisted Living Center, Woodland Park Care Center, Dr. Gregory P. Stevens and Dr. Steven Warren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 5, 2010, 10:00 a.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road. Viewing will be held Tuesday at the Funeral Home, 9-9:45 a.m. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Preston City Cemetery, Preston, Idaho. Mom, you were so ready and wanting of the next phase of your spiritual journey. WOW, you did it in spite of all our plans to keep you with us. Go soar with the angels.
