Nickalas Slater

Nickalas J. Slater Nick Nickalas Jacob Slater, our gift, our angel, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, January 31, 2010 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Born February 23, 1988 in Salt Lake City, Utah, son of Thomas Arthur and Cheryl Kay Lewis Slater. He attended Taylorsville and Central High Schools. Loved baseball, motor cross racing, his son, and family. Survived by son, Cohen Gardner; father, Thomas Slater; mother, Sherry Slater and her companion, Kent Higley; beloved brother, Christopher and girlfriend, Jo Thomas; grandmothers, Catherine Lewis, Ruth Keller Young and Edna Slater; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Preceded in death by grandfathers, Donald K. Lewis, Willard Slater and Delbert Keller. A memorial service will be held Monday, February 8, 2010, 3:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah. Donations may be made in his behalf at McDougal Funeral Home.
