Nile Zan Peterson 1923 ~ 2010 WEST VALLEY CITY - Our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away September 1, 2010. He was born November 15, 1923 in Franklin, Idaho to Oscar Leo and Elsie Leona Beckstead Peterson. He married Emma Lee Olsen November 15, 1955. Nile is a member of the LDS Church where he served in many callings. Also served in the US Army during WWII. Retired from Associated Food Stores Inc. Survived by wife, Emma Lee; 11 children: Randy (Sandy), Jack (Kay), Don, Kasy, Danny (Robyn), Leona (Clair) Neff, Stanley, Sharlene, Sharon (Wayne) Beckstead, Jolene (Scott) and Jeanene (Ron); 51 grandchildren; 96 great-grandchildren; brother, Leon Dee; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents; 2 sisters; 4 brothers. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 8, 2010,11:00 a.m. at the Jordan Meadows Ward, 3935 South 1500 West. Viewings will be held Tuesday, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and Wednesday at the church, 10-10:45 a.m. Interment, Utah Veterans Memorial Park.
