Norma F. Folcomer Loving Mother Norma French Folcomer, 78, passed away January 20, 2010 in Salt Lake City, UT. Born October 20, 1931 in Kanab, Utah, to Charles and Norma French, the eldest of five daughters. She always told stories of her childhood and life living in rural Utah filled with family events and activities on the ranch. Married Walter Martin Folcomer; he preceded her in death. Norma spent her adult life as a hairdresser where she spent over 40 years developing friendships with many people. An avid reader of Utah history, and a member of Daughters of Utah Pioneers, she enjoyed story telling and the comradery of others. She had become a fixture on the street which she lived and was enjoyed by all those who knew her. Survived by her sons, David and Marty (Tootie); grandsons, Skylor and Grayson; sisters, Marilyn Rhodes and her family; Harriet Stubbs and her family. Also preceded in death by parents; sisters, Elaine Delong and LaRue French. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 25, 2010, 10:00 a.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road where a viewing will held, 9-9:45 a.m. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, 11:00 a.m. at the Kanab Cemetery, Kanab, UT.
