Norma Navarrete

Norma R. Navarrete, 76, passed away January 29, 2018 in Tucson, Arizona. Norma was born November 30, 1941 in Morenci, Arizona to Paulo G. Roman and Irene D. Roman. Norma grew up in Clifton, Arizona with her two siblings, Manuel Roman and Lyon Roman. In 1959 Norma graduated Clifton High School. In 1975, Norma married the love of her life, Edward C. Navarrete Jr. at Holy Cross in Morenci, Arizona. They had one son together, Edward Navarrete III, who later married Alondra Navarrete. Norma was blessed with three grandchildren; Anavictoria Navarrete, Edward Navarrete IV, and Thomas Navarrete. Norma worked as a preschool teacher, and at a property management company in Phoenix, Arizona. She was a part of the Morenci Lions Club, Clifton Schools Booster Club, Sacred Heart Fundraisers and Sacred Heart Community Servers. Not only was she involved within her community, Norma was the first Certified Hemodialysis Technician in Arizona. Norma was compassionate. She cared for the sick and elderly. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and babysitting. But more importantly was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Norma is survived by her husband, Edward C. Navarrete Jr.; her son, Edward Navarrete III; and her brothers, Manuel Roman and Lyon Roman. She is preceded in death by her father, Paulo G. Roman; and her mother, Irene D. Roman. Norma was loving, caring, & strong. There will be a visitation Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Clifton, Arizona. The Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
