Owen Clifford Donham was born on January 31, 1937 in Central, Arizona to Sam Taylor (S.T.) and Rachel Sellers Donham. He grew up in Pima where he graduated from Pima High School in 1955. After high school he attended EAJC for one semester then enlisted in the U.S. Army. His basic training was at Fort Collins, Colorado then off to his station in Nuremberg, Germany. While there he had the opportunity to visit London, Paris and various other places in Switzerland. After being honorably discharged in 1958 he worked for a short time as a police officer for the city of Phoenix bur soon decided that was not what he wanted to do. He returned to the Gila Valley where he lived and worked hard for the remainder of his life. He is survived by his wife, Linda Joy Prock of Safford; children, Diana Lynn Hicks of Willcox, Timilee (Patrick) McNair of Pima, Tammie (Jim) Hallsted of Benson, Terry (Cindy) Donham of Pima, Todd Donham of Pima, Danita (Jerry) Thompson of Thatcher, Quentin Jeans of Safford, Janelle Ellington of Mesa; 20 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. A sister, Saundra Donham of Safford; brother, Ken (Carolyn) Donham of Pensacola, Florida, as well as aunts, nieces, nephews and many friends. Owen passed from this life on January 7, 2012 with his family by his side. Family and friends will gather for a graveside service for Owen at the Safford Cemetery on Friday, January 13, 2012 at 2:00 p.m.
