Pamela Ryan, born on August 9, 1951, in Charles City, Iowa, departed this world on September 29, 2024, in Safford, Arizona. A life shaped by perseverance and grace, Pamela’s journey was marked by a remarkable spirit that touched the lives of many.
From her early years, Pamela embodied resilience. As a dedicated Pharmacy Technician, she skillfully balanced the demands of her career until the challenges of disability compelled her to alter her path. Yet even in the face of trials, her unwavering courage illuminated the lives she encountered. She carried herself with a dignity that inspired those around her; with a loving heart and a loyal nature, Pamela’s tenacity was evident in every endeavor she undertook.
A proud mother, Pamela leaves behind cherished memories with her beloved daughter Melanie Post and her sons Robert McGrew, Jr. and Tim McGrew. Her legacy continues through the laughter and love of her 11 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren, each a testament to her nurturing spirit. To her family, she was not only a steadfast pillar of support but also a beacon of unconditional love.
In addition to her family, Pamela found joy and solace in crafting her diamond art, a creative pursuit that reflected her inner brilliance and artistic flair. Even as life’s difficulties weighed upon her, she remained uncomplaining, embodying selflessness and kindness that enriched the lives of those fortunate enough to know her.
Pamela bravely confronted significant health challenges, including her battle with brain cancer and the subsequent surgery that transformed her life. Her proudest accomplishment, surviving and overcoming these adversities, was a testament to her indomitable spirit and an inspiration to all who witnessed her journey.
She is now reunited in eternal rest with her beloved husband, Vernon Ryan, and her parents Robert and Beverly (Shoemaker) Thompson, alongside her brother Ronald Thompson and dear friends Nadine and Vernon Moyer. Each of them remains a cherished memory in Pamela's heart and now in ours, as we gather to honor her remarkable life.
