Peggy Sparks

Peggy Jenice Sparks went home to the Lord on August 4, 2017 at the age of 70. She was born on November 16th, 1946 in Tucson, Arizona to Jack & Barbara Stevens Baxter. Peggy was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed fishing, camping, and spending time with her late husband of 42 years, Russell Val Sparks. Peggy also treasured spending time with her 5 grandchildren. Peggy loved spreading the word of God and was an active member of her church community. Her kind, generous, and loving spirit will be fondly remembered by all who knew her. Peggy is survived by her three children, Russell Sparks (Deborah), Dustin Sparks, and Barbara Gail Ibanez; grandchildren, Briana Ibanez, Quaid Ibanez, Megan Sparks, John Sparks, and Sarah Sparks. She was preceded in death by her parents Jack & Barbara Baxter. There will be a viewing held from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 10th at McDougal's Caldwell Funeral Chapel, located at 112 E Main St. in Safford, AZ. The memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 11th at New Testament Baptist Church, located at 2501 S. 1st Ave in Safford, AZ. Interment will be in the Thatcher Cemetery following services.
