Phyllis R. Collopy 1938 ~ 2009 Devoted daughter and sister, loving and supportive mother and grandmother, Phyllis R. Collopy, 70, passed away September 30, 2009 in Murray, Utah. Born November 12, 1938 in Avon, Illinois, daughter of Howard Jones and Olive Stoneking. Married Ivan Collopy; later divorced. Retired from QWEST Communications where she made many lifelong friends. Survived by daughter, Marie Grover; granddaughter, Rose (James) Black; great-granddaughters: Tessa, Bella and Ivy; sisters: Rita (Robert), Violet (John); brother, Harold (Judy). Preceded in death by her parents; brother, Stanley; sisters: Janice and Sharon. Her family has said their private good-byes. Friends may visit on Saturday, October 3, 2009, 4-6 p.m. at her daughters home, 3664 View Vista Road, West Valley City, Utah to share stories and remember her.
