Loving Father, Brother, and friend Ralph E. Onate was born in Morenci, AZ April 15, 1958 to the late Rafael and Margaret Onate. Ralph entered into rest Sept. 11, 2010 in Safford, AZ. After graduating from Clifton High School, Ralph began his young career as an electrician at Phelphs Dodge Mining Corporation and later was certified and held a position as a senior infrared electrical technician before retiring. Ralph spent 29 years with the company and recently retired in 2009. Ralph was a man with a gracious heart very much loved by his family and friends. He loved to spend time with his family, especially outdoors. He loved camping, fishing, and riding quads. Ralph grew up building cars at a young age and loved music. Especially Journey. You could find him singing kareoke almost anywhere, even without a microphone. Many remember Ralph as the owner of a 1967 Chevy Camero that he raced for many years which he restored to his own liking. His children referred to him as the "jack of all trades" He will be greatly missed by many. He is survived by his three children Ralph Gregory Onate, Janelle and Danelle Onate; Sister Judith Corrine Beltran her husband Donnie, their children Jacob and Candice and 3 grandchildren; Brother Larry and his wife Brenda and their children Meagan, Nick, Ryan, and Lindsay. A Vigil and Rosary service will be conducted Friday evening at 7 p.m. at the St. Rose of Lima Church in Safford. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, September 18, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Church. Interment will follow in the Safford Cemetery.
