Ramon Nunez

Ramon F. Nunez, Jr., 66, of Franklin, AZ, passed away at home March 21, 2014. Ramon was born June 20, 1947 in Morenci, AZ to Ramon G. and Dolores Fierro Nunez. He graduated from Safford High School and attended Eastern Arizona College for a while before joining the Navy and serving in Vietnam. Ramon returned home and worked for Phelps Dodge for 39 years. Ramon loved his horses, fishing, hunting, shooting and most importantly, being with his family. He is survived by his mother Dolores Franco, his children; Maggie, Christine, Mikey, Tammy, Charlie, and Cecelia, his siblings; Helen Lujan & Rosie Carrasco, 21 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Ramon is preceded in death by his father Ramon Sr. and son, Patrick Nunez. Memorial services for Ramon will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at the Caldwell Funeral Chapel in Safford.
