Ray Christenson

Ray Martin Christenson, 81 of Safford passed away at his home on April 15, 2010. Ray was born June 20, 1928 in Chenney, Washington to Martin and Irene Christenson. Ray served in the National Guard and was discharged in June of 1952. He met his lovely wife Freeda Ford in Safford and were married January 6, 1972. Together they operated Ace Drywall and later incorporated as a General Contractor. On February 12, 1981 Ray had an accident which left him paralyzed the rest of his life. He will be greatly missed by his many friends and relatives. Ray is survived by his wife Freeda Christenson, brother Richard Christenson, sons Greg & Curt Christenson, daughter Pam Powers, stepchildren Christyne Randall, Joseph Allred, Linda Lopeman and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ray was preceded in death by his parents, brother Sherman and sister Ethel Arnason. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 1, 2010 at 10 a.m. in the Real Life Community Church of the Nazarene, 106 S. 8th Ave. Safford.
