Ray Darwin Lewis 70, of Globe, AZ passed away September 9, 2012. He was born August 14, 1942 in Ray, AZ. His parents were Richard and Florence Lewis. Ray grew up in Globe, AZ. He met his wife, Jo Elaine Davis and they were married on February 14, 1964. Ray worked for Phelps Dodge mine for 43 years before he retired. He loved spending time with his family, four-wheeling, hunting, camping, and his animals. Ray was a beloved husband, father and friend. He led by example. He taught his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren how to love unconditionally, to always help others, and to be a friend to everyone. He loved to laugh and made others laugh with him. He always loved to say I never met a stranger. Ray is survived by his wife, Jo Elaine (Davis) Lewis and his five children; Jon (Rita) and Jarom (Cindy) of Globe AZ, Jim (Lois) and Joe (Donna) of Bloomfield, NM, and Karen (Shawn) of Jerome, ID. He is also survived by his brothers, Richard A. Lewis of Globe, AZ and Ted W. Lewis of Apache Junction, AZ, grandchildren Anthoney, Cory, Jacob, Jessica, Lainie, Jarom, Joe, Pearl, Vernon, Theresa, and Tami, 20 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Visitation will be Saturday, September 15, 2012 at 9:00 A.M. at the Relief Society Room at the L.D.S. Stake Center in Globe, AZ Funeral services will follow at 9:30 A.M. at Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter-day Saints Globe, AZ Interment will be at Pima Cemetery in Pima, AZ
