Ray Clarence Rasmussen Ray Clarence Rasmussen passed away May 10, 2010, at his sister Starrs home, surrounded by his family. Ray was born to Anna Christine Lovendahl and Clarence Arthur Rasmussen on April 21, 1929 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Following high school, he served a term in the United States Army. He married Beverly Hollingsworth in 1949 and together they had six children, but the marriage ended in divorce. He married Juanita Irene Perret (LaLa Poopsie) in 1974 and had many happy years together until her death in 2004. He was employed as a jewelry salesman which was perfect for him for he loved his diamonds. He was a lifetime fan of jazz music and Cadillacs. His hobbies included camping, fishing, drawing cartoons and assembling model cars, but going to Wendover was the ultimate. He was an avid fan of the Denver Broncos, had a wonderful sense of humor and could get a laugh out of anyone. Survived by his sister, Starr (Jerry) Hollingsworth, children: Steven Ray, Jody (Wayne) Goff, Scott (Tora), Pamela, Patrice (Kirk) Moser; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; and lots of nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by son, Ray Lee; parents; wife, Juanita; sister, Beverly Lundebert; and brother-in-law, Jerry Hollingsworth. Special thanks to daughters, Pam and Jody; son, Steven; sister, Starr; nephews, Jeff and Michael, Shawn and Ginger Bloomquist for the special love and care given to Ray during these hard times. Also a very special thanks to Hospice of Utah, Adrian, Jacqueline and Cleston for their TLC and especially their Chaplin Gaylan who brought flowers every visit and comforted Ray with many stories about baseball and life. We will miss you Dad! The family will receive friends at a visitation Saturday, 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road.
