Raymond Dale Morris Together Again Raymond Dale Morris, age 88, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2008, surrounded by family. Born April 16, 1919 in Murray, Utah, to Joseph Matthew and Elizabeth Ana Purdy Morris. Dale met his sweetheart, June Sophia Rosengren, at the Fort Union Rollerskating Rink. They were married on November 18, 1939. Later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. She preceded him in death. Served in the Navy during World War II.. He made his living as a master carpenter and his work can be seen throughout Utah. He was an artist, enjoyed the outdoors, hiking, fishing, camping and sports. He was a rock hound. Coached his sons county rec. softball team. Most of all loved spending time with his family. Survived by his sons: W. Raymond (Margaret), Robert (Jeanie), Steven (Leana), Keith (Jayne), Randy (Shelly), Jim (Anita), Bill (Taunya); daughters: Kathleen Balmforth, Maureen (Leonard) Wood, Pam (Gary) Rasmussen; 50 grandchildren; 76 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild. Preceded in death by his wife and son-in-law, E. Lynn Balmforth and 17 brothers and sisters. Special thanks to the VA Home Health Care Team and the Utah State Veterans Nursing Staff for their loving care of our father. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 17, 2008, 1:00 p.m. at the Jordan North 1st Ward, 3900 South 4000 West, WVC. Friends and family may gather on Sunday from 5-7 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and on Monday from 12-12:45 p.m. at the church prior to services.
