Raymond C. Ray In Loving Memory Our loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and dear friend, Raymond C. Ray, 79, passed away May 27, 2009 surrounded by his wife and family. Born May 15, 1930 in Midvale, Utah to Margeret W. Oliver and Clarence Raymond Ray. Grew up in Midvale. Married his high school sweetheart, GeNeal Hall, on September 10, 1949; solemnized in the Jordan River Temple on January 7, 1994. She preceded him in death February 7, 1995 as did his second wife, Birdie Hamp. Served in the US Army during the Korean War. Married Carolyn Thacker November 1, 2003. Faithful member of the LDS Church and was fulfilling a two year mission. He was a very loving, caring, devoted husband and father. Dad loved the great outdoors, fishing, hunting and spending time with his family. He worked for Imco, Winder Dairy, for 30 years, and drove bus for Granite School District. He will be missed immensely. He is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn; children: Diane Walker, Patti Chambers, Sharon (Steve) Guerrero, Shelly Wilkerson, Tracy (Pam) Thacker, Sheri (Travis) Samuelson, Stephanie (Chad) Taylor, Ella (Drew) Lathrop, Jenny (John) Measom; 27 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and his little dog, Muffin; and extended family. We love you, Dad! Funeral services will be held Monday, June 1, 2009, 12:00 noon at the Sunnyvale Ward, 3671 South Oldham Drive (4180 W.). Viewings will be held Sunday, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and Monday at the church, 11-11:45 a.m. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
