Raymond Sloan

Raymond E. Sloan 1941 ~ 2010 Raymond Ernest Sloan, 68, passed away July 20, 2010, after 18 months with Myelofibrosis, in West Valley City, Utah. Born August 3, 1941 in Salt Lake City, Utah, son of William Ernest and Betty Graham Sloan. Married Julia Ann Phibbs June 10, 1960 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Enjoyed bowling and fishing and was a lover of animals. Employed with Kennecott Copper Corp. for 35 years. He loved being with his family. Survived by wife, Julia; daughter, Rebecca (Brian) Fischer; son, Randy (JoAnn) Sloan; 5 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Lynn (Jeane) Sloan. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Stephen Wood, for his wonderful care, Inspiration Hospice, especially, Deanna, and granddaughter, Brandi A memorial celebration will be held Monday, 11:00 a.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah.
