Rene Moreno

Sixto Rene Moreno, 41, of Thatcher, entered into rest on Monday, September 24, 2012. He was born on January 7, 1971 in Safford,AZ, to Marcos D. Moreno and Gracie Garcia. Rene was a die hard Arizona Cardinals fan and he loved music. In his youth he was a baseball all-star and loved to hunt. Rene had a lot of friends and was always there for them whenever they needed. He was strong willed and lived on his own for 3 years and accomplished many things. His biggest accomplishment was getting his GED and starting college at EAC. He loved talking on the phone it didn't matter what time of day it was. Family was the biggest thing to Rene and he wanted nothing more than to always have the family together. Rene and his family would like to express their gratitude to Roger and Dahlia Garcia and their family for taking care of him for more then 20 years. He is survived by his father, Marcos Moreno Sr.; caregivers, Roger and Dahlia Garcia; his brothers Marcos Moreno Jr, and Gerald Moreno.; his sisters, Chele Avelar Palma, and Rebecca Avelar, Veronica Varela, Diana Moreno, and Sharon Moreno; and his grandmother Ramona Garcia. He is preceded in death by his mother, Gracie Avelar. A viewing for Rene will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 1, 2012 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Solomon. The Rosary prayer will take place at 11 a.m. Mass of a Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 p.m. with Rev. Father Edward Lucero as Celebrant.
