Renee Zimmerman

Renee Sowell Zimmerman, 45 of Duncan passed away at the Mt. Graham Regional Medical Center on April 26, 2011. She was born May 27, 1965 in Chicago, Illinois to Samuel & Dolores Sowell and graduated from Hazelcrest High School in Hazelcrest, Illinois. Renee married Charles Zimmerman on September 11, 2002 and together their love grew more and more each day. She was an Avon Sales Consultant for many years and had a great love for her customers. Renee traveled many times between Chicago and Duncan, spending time with her family. She was a very special person with a big giving heart and helped out her family whenever she could. Renee will be missed by her family and many friends. Renee is survived by her parents Samuel Sr. & Delores Sowell of Chicago; sister Darlene Sowell of Park Forest, Illinois, brother Samuel Sowell Jr., sister in law Lucia Sowell of El Paso, sister Chandra Sowell of Orlando Hills, Illinois, uncles Wallace Easterling of Collins, Mississippi, Norris Easterling of Collins, Mississippi, Carl Easterling of Omaha, Nebraska and her favorite uncle Randolph Easterling of Chicago, Illinois, aunts Eddye Averett of Quitman, Georgia, Lanell Southward of Tishomingo, Mississippi, cousin Larry Stamps (who came to live with Renee for the last 2 years), and many cousins, nieces, nephews and great nieces. Funeral Services will be conducted by Pastor Steven Martin on Saturday, April 30, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the First Southern Baptist Church, 210 Gale Ave. in Duncan. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Duncan Cemetery.
