He was born on December 23, 1938 in Thatcher to Doreteo Palma and Nellie Ruiz Palma. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Arsenio Palma and Joe Palma. Ricardo was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic church in Safford. He loved to go fishing and camping with his family. The birth of his children and grandchildren were the best days of his life. He was very good with his hands and made many crafts including a wagon and small wooden utensils. He also enjoyed watching western movies He is survived by his children, Victoria, Rita, Grace, Richard, Roberta and Silvia; his brother, Simon; his sisters, Beatrice and Rebecca; 17 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. Mass of a Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 31, 2012 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, with Rev. Father Edward Lucero as celebrant. Friends may call on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 fro 6-8 p.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church with rosary being recited at 7 p.m. Interment will be in the Thatcher Cemetery.
