Richard Arnold

Richard "Rich" Eugene Arnold, 69, of Safford, AZ passed away June 9, 2017, after a valiant battle with cancer. He was born August 9, 1947 in Clovis, New Mexico and was the son of Ernest and Mary Arnold. He was part of a large family with eleven children. In October of 1966 he entered the US Army and served a tour in Vietnam. After serving his country he became a mechanic for the mining industry in many states. Rich was a member of American Legion Post #32. He proudly served in the Gila Valley Honor Guard for many years. He was an avid race car driver and enthusiast, along with many other hobbies including, camping, fishing, hunting and pool tournaments. Rich is survived by his companion Charlotte Mullen and many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Jeannie in 2009. There will be a memorial to honor Richard's life held at the American Legion post #32 on Friday, June 23, 2017 at 3:00 PM.
