Except for his first 10 years, he lived in Salt Lake City. Richard served in the US Army Military Police during the Korean War, and later with the US occupying forces in Vienna, Austria. In 1953, while in Vienna, Richard met the love of his life, Edith Fromel, whom he married July 29, 1954 in Aurora, Canada. Richard and Edith have two daughters: Teresa Meadows (Daren) of Herriman, UT and Peggy Bridge (Larry) of Aurora, CO and two grandchildren, Austin and Kayla Bridge. Richard is also survived by a sister, Jean Munk, and a dear brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bob and Ilse Crooks of Heber, UT. Richard was a family man who loved to camp, hike, fish, and ski. He was also an avid bowler. For over 20 years he and Edith attended Oktoberfest at Snowbird every fall weekend with family and friends.
