Richard Allen Reece, 43 of Clifton passed away January 11, 2010. He was born June 20, 1966 to Richard Joseph Reece and Dianna Lenora Helton Reece at Cannon Air Force Base, New Mexico. He graduated from Cobre High School in 1984 and served in the US Navy aboard the USS Sculpin fast attack submarine. He was a member of the American Legion Post 28 in Clifton. Richey married Chaz on August 5, 2006 at the Blackjack Grounds. For anyone who knew Richard, they would know he was passionate in his life. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend. He was safe, hardworking, skilled and helpful at his job working as a shovel and drill mechanic with Chino mines, Phelps Dodge and Freeport McMoRan. Richey enjoyed several outdoor activities; camping fishing, four wheel driving, hunting and gold panning were a few favorites. He enjoyed all of this with his family and friends plus anyone he met along any trail. He helped people that were stuck in the river or wondering where the good fishing was. Rich and Chaz ran the Greenlee Florist together for the last three years. Richey is survived by his wife Chasidy Chaz Reece, children Kathryn Elizabeth Reece (David J. Smolkis, Jr.), Charles Keegan Reece, Taylor Jenae Reece, Erin Eve Osborn, and Kaitlyn Marie Osborn, parents Richard Joseph & Dianna Lenora Helton Reece, siblings Suzan (Jim) Shirley, Mary (Miguel) Garza, brother-in-laws Adam Castor & Casey Jones, 2 nephews and 1 niece. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Melvin & Elizabeth Reece and William & Hazel Helton. He will be missed, loved and remember will all the passion that he had for life. P.S.
