Rita Perez

Rita M. Perez, 88 of Safford passed away January 24, 2014 in El Paso, Texas. Rita was born May 22, 1925 in Santa Rita, New Mexico to Jose and Eugenia Rios Molinar. Rita enjoyed sewing and owned and operated Rita's Alteration Shop on Main Street in Safford for nine years. Rita is survived by her sister, Victoria Salazar and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Isidro Perez on August 19, 2002 and siblings, Albert Molinar, Feliciano Molinar and Teodora Chavez. A Viewing and Rosary will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Rosary to begin at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, January 31, 2014 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Safford. Pall Bearers include Arnold Hunter, Miguel Angel Flores, Manuel Rodriguez, Brian Rodriguez, Priscilla Ortega and Remie Arrellin. Honorary Bearers include Joseph Molina and Frank Sanchez. Interment to follow at Gila Valley Memorial Gardens.
