Robert Arbogast

Robert Byron Arbogast 1925 ~ 2010 Bob was born April 7, 1925 to Louis Arbogast and Catherine Fast in Des Moines, Iowa and passed away October 26, 2010. He married his sweetheart Marlyce Schmidt on August 26, 1951 in Ida Grove, IA. Marlyce preceded him in death on Valentines Day of 2008. He was educated in Villisca, IA at Villisca High and then received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering at Simpson College. His employment began in Iowa with Case Tractor until 1960 when he moved to Utah to a new job with Eimco Mining and Machinery where he was integral in the development of accessories for new editions of heavy earth-moving equipment. The new location brought with it a chance to explore the great outdoors and he led his family on innumerable weekend camp trips where his two sons learned many lessons of life. A lifetime of fishing, all-season camping, riding his Trail 90" and wildlife spotting with his wife and sons led to many memories. Although his recent years brought some health challenges, he maintained an ever present interest in his grandchildren, his sons, and the achievements of his family. He is survived by his two sons, Stewart (Lindsey), and Jeff (Debra), and grandchildren Taylor, Jordan, and Alex. Bob had requested no formal services but the family would like to request that in lieu of flowers, a gift be made to the Utah Chapter of the Humane Society in his name.
