Robert Burns

Robert P. Burns, 40, of Duncan, passed away August 21, 2017. He was born May 17, 1977 in Morenci, Arizona to Kenneth & Elaine Burns. He attended school in Duncan and Morenci, and later made his home in Virden, New Mexico. In the most recent years he returned to York Valley to raise his daughter Lilyth. Robert loved to go camping, fishing, gardening, raising ducks & chickens and working with his hands making anything out of wood. His greatest love was his daughter Lilyth, his dog Sadie and his family. He is survived by his daughter Lilyth Burns of York Valley, his mother Elaine Burns of Clifton, his grandmother Wanda Richardson of Virden, his brother Richard (Lori) Burns of Tucson, his sisters Frances (Steve) Merino of Clifton & Tammy Monares of Duncan, three nephews; Andrew (Heather Baker) Burns and Sebastian Merino of Clifton, Jaxson Burns of Tucson and his great niece Alice Burns of Clifton. Robert is preceded in death by his father Kenneth Burns, his son Colton Burns, both of his grandfathers and one grandmother. Robert was greatly loved by his family and will be deeply missed. Viewing and memorial will begin at 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at McDougal's Caldwell Funeral Chapel, on Friday, September 8, 2017.
