Robert Buys

Robert Gary Buys 1973 ~ 2008 Robert Gary Buys, age 35, left us suddenly March 17, 2008. Born January 19, 1973 in Murray, Utah, son of Gary Rex and Sonja Rae Schorr Buys. Robert graduated from Jordan High School in 1991 where he was on the swim team and was a Sterling Scholar in Art. Following graduation he served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Louisville, Kentucky. He enjoyed creating stained glass and sculptures and was exceptionally good at it. He married Kim Meyers and they had five children; later divorced. He then married Jessica Ahldredge and later divorced. He married Megan Hall in 2006 and they had two children. They resided in Vernal, Utah where he worked in the oil fields. He is survived by his wife, Megan; children: Anthony, Johnathan, Elizabeth, Brianna, Zachary, Lijiah and Jacob Buys; parents; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Robert loved his children infinitely and he will be missed by all who knew him. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 22, 2008, 2:00 p.m. at the Brookshire Ward, 1325 West 5550 South, where a viewing will be held one hour prior to services. Interment, West Jordan City Cemetery.
