Robert Sim Guy of Pima, passed away at his home surrounded by family on Saturday, March 28, 2020. He was born on December 2, 1956, in Tampa, Florida to Robert Bryan Guy and Adele Eileen Beeson Guy with siblings Robin Kay and Ronald Charles. Robert graduated from Moses Lake High School in 1975. After high school, Robert served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Denver, Colorado mission from 1977 until he returned in 1979. He then joined the United States Air Force in 1979 and honorably served until 1987. Afterward, Robert attended college at Washington State University where he graduated with his Bachelor's Degree as a Pharmacist in 1995. He married the love of his life, Monique Mae Bates, in the Seatle Washington Temple bringing with him his 2 children from a previous marriage, Tamara & Robert. The couple was blessed with the births of each of their 13 children; Megan, Amaris, Nathanael, Heather, Elizabeth, Jedediah, Rebekah, Jeremiah, Hannah, Abigail, Moriah, Michael, and Clara. Robert was blessed to be present at the births of each of his 15 children, he was definitely a family man! Robert was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who was always striving to serve others and spend time with his family teaching them how to serve others as well. Some of his favorite sayings were, "What a man thinks about when he has nothing else to think about, is the measure of his degree of dedication to the Lord" and from Bruce R. McConkie "Obedience is the first law of heaven, a cornerstone upon which all righteousness and progression rest". His favorite song was "I Stand All Amazed". Robert was truly a man of God. He is survived by his loving wife Monique Guy, his children; Tamara Guy, Robert C. Guy, Megan Sieloff, Amaris Fletcher, Nathanael Guy, Elizabeth Cook, Jedediah Guy, Rebekah Crook, Jeremiah Guy, Hannah Webster, Abigail Guy, Moriah Guy, Michael Guy, and Clara Guy. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren, with numbers 24 & 25 coming soon. Robert is preceded in death by his beloved daughter Heather Maree Guy and his parents Robert Bryan Guy & Adele Eileen Whitham. A graveside service for Robert will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2020, at the Thatcher Cemetery beginning at 10:00 a.m.
