Robert Jones

Robert “Ivan” Jones, 77, of Central, AZ, passed away of COVID-19 complications on October 10, 2023. Ivan was born to James Ivan Jones & Ida Ruby Rogers Jones on October 20, 1945 in Central, AZ. His dedication to his town was known far and wide. He spent a lovely 56 years married to his wife, Trulia Diane Jones, of which were spent right here in Central. Ivan dedicated his life to helping his beloved community, caring for his animals, and being an upstanding individual to his family and friends. He had many quips and quotes that made him memorable to all he came across, but his biggest asset was his smile. Ivan was preceded in death by his son, Samuel Ivan “Si” Jones, his sister Evon Penrod, his sister Iva Faye Slade, his beloved parents, as well as many other exceptional family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Trulia Diane Jones, his two daughters, Lelani Calderon and Aleaha Baca, and 11 grandchildren. The service was held on October 16, 2023, at the Central First Ward Chapel, beside the Gila Valley Temple. Robert “Ivan” Jones was laid to rest at Emery Cemetery alongside his son, Si.
