Robert Kimbel Russell Hello Little Ones Our beloved brother, father, uncle and grandfather was called back home September 30, 2007 after a good fight with Alzheimers. He was born June 7, 1937 to Frank Egan and Ella Mae Russell in Newark, New Jersey. He married the love of his life, LaVonne LeMar in February, 1961 and together they raised four loving children. Dad stood faithfully by moms side when she left this mortal existence in 1990. In 1997 he found a loving companion, Nellie Ann Jewel and they were married. She preceded him in death. He honorably served in the US Air Force as Airman First Class. He loved the outdoors and worked for the Forest Service for 32 years. He was also a volunteer at Tracy Aviary. He dedicated his life to his family and loved to tell stories and jokes, even in his latter days of life. Dad was a Denver Bronco fan to the end. Grandpa, your smile and laugh will be with us always. You are our strong willed and loving father. Remember, we will be fine, you taught us well. Robert is survived by his loving children: Deanna (Russ) Gee, Kristin (Doug) Gorney, Robert II (Rose) Russell and Heather (Ralph) Houseman; 16 grandchildren; siblings: Roy (Faye) Russell and Lynn (Larry) Nagele. Preceded in death by granddaughter, Brooklyn. The family would like to thank the staff at Pioneer Hospital ICU for their compassion and care. Funeral services will be held Friday, 1:30 p.m. at the Murray West Heritage Ward, 41 West Claypark Drive (6280 S.) where a viewing will be held, 12:30-1:15 p.m. at the church prior to services.
