Rodney B. Parish The Wizard Rodney B. Parish, 63, of Taylorsville, Utah, passed away March 7, 2010 in Murray, Utah. Born November 4, 1946 in Burley, Idaho, son of Boyd Ellis and Hilda Leona Pettingill Parish. As a young boy he lived in Alaska before it was a state, British Columbia, Canada and Washington. Graduated from Burley High School in 1965. He married Peggy Kamp July 20, 1968, they were later divorced. He married Jeannie Tegan February 25, 1989. He was currently employed at SLC Commuter Rail. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held various church callings. Rod loved to serve and was always looking for ways to help others. Survived by his wife, Jeannie; children: Lisa Parish and Roddy (Kristel) Parish; 23 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; father, Boyd Parish; 6 stepchildren: Laura (Bryan) Robinson, Camie (Barry) Robinson, Chad (Alicia) Tegan, Shannon (Jason) Sitterud, Travis (Kara) Tegan, Danielle (Jared) Adamson; brothers: Ron and Randy Parish; sisters: Vicki Clifford, Valerie (Blair) Furniss. A viewing will be held Tuesday, March 9, 2010, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville, UT. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 10, 2010, 11:00 a.m. at Valley Park Stake Center, 2603 West 4700 South, Taylorsville, UT with a viewing, 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services. A viewing will also be held Thursday, March 11, 2010, 6-8 p.m. at the View 1st Ward, 544 South 490 East, Burley, ID. Graveside services will be held Friday, March 12, 2010, 10:00 a.m. at theView Cemetery, Burley, ID. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of your choice in Rodneys name.
