Roger Leo Jensen 1927 ~ 2008 Roger Leo Jensen was born September 22, 1927 to Joseph E. and Leba Sorensen Jensen in Richfield, Utah and died July 17, 2008 in Salt Lake City, Utah of complications from an accident in December 2007. He was a proud graduate of Richfield High School class of 45 during war time. He served in the US Army in Korea, 1946-47 and then married Gwendolyn Hansen May 3, 1952. He worked for 13 years with his father, at Jensen Brothers clothing store in Richfield, Utah, then for ZCMI at the Cottonwood Mall for 30 years. His second home was Fish Lake. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, eating chicken in the canyons, air shows, the many hours spent at the Hill Aerospace Museum after his retirement, traveling and his daily walks. Survived by his wife of 56 years, Gwen; children: William Jensen, Ted (Denise) Jensen, Anne (Glenn) Rowley, Barbara (Steve) Jenkins, Michael (Kelli) Jensen and Neil (Allyson) Jensen; 26 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; sister, Corinne Bybee Junker, Palm Springs, CA; brother, Jack J. (Joyce) Jensen, St. George. Preceded in death by his parents. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Woodland Park Care Center and Bristol Hospice. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 22, 2008, 10:00 a.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road where a viewing will be held Monday, July 21, 2008, 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday, July 22, 2008, 9-9:45 am prior to services. Interment, with military honors, will be held Tuesday, 3:00 p.m. at the Monroe Cemetery, Monroe, Utah. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the charity of your choice.
