Ronald Egbert

Ronald Charles Egbert 1958 ~ 2009 Ronald Charles Egbert passed away on July 29, 2009 from lifelong complications of diabetes. Born June 9, 1958 to Richard Charles Egbert and Marilyn Larson Egbert. Ron graduated from Kearns High School. He also attended Salt Lake Community College and the University of Utah. He served an LDS mission to the Florida Tallahassee Mission. He bled true Utah Red and loved the Washington Redskins. The things checked off on his bucket list were a buffalo hunt, a trip to Hawaii and an Alaskan cruise. He also was able to make his last trip to Bear Lake this summer. He volunteered in the first grade class at Daybreak Elementary and was anxiously awaiting his first grandbabies. Ron is survived by his wife, Meleta; children, Misty (Ryan) Rhodes, Joshua (Amy) and Benjamen; mother, Marilyn Mott; brother, Brent (Shauna); sisters, Carolyn (Dennis), Ruth (John), Kris (Dale), Julie (Tom); brothers-in-law, Skip (Vicky), Fred (Angela), Stan (Jolene), John, Kerry (Michelle), Kelly (Joyce), Ben (Jackie), Weston; sister-in-law, Nancy and lots of nieces and nephews. Ron was preceded in death by his father, and step-father Clint. Funeral services will be Monday, August 3, 2009, 12:00 noon at the Daybreak 2nd Ward, Temple Point Building, 11038 South Braidwood Drive (4100 West). Family and friends may call on Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and on Monday at Church from 11-11:45. Interment, Wasatch Lawn South Valley.
