Ronald Sherman Taylor 1935 ~ 2009 "Tell the kids to be good." were the parting words of a man who loved his family more than any one of us deserved. Ronald Sherman Taylor died on Oct 30th 2009 at the age of 74. A husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, Bishop and friend to many, he has been a great and profound influence on every life he touched. Ron married his high school sweetheart, LaRae Green, and continued to hold her in a sacred place in his heart for almost fifty-five years. He leaves behind six children, Kenneth, Brent, Michael, Bryan, Cindy, and Wendy. Rons children were a huge part of his life, all of them remember him supporting them in the many things they were involved in. The joy in his life was wrapped up in his twenty-five grandchildren, and one great grandchild, who were lucky enough to call him grandpa. All of this because two people fell in love. Each and every member of his family has special memories of a grandfather who took the time to care. Ron has been reunited in heaven with his parents, Sherman and Lucile Taylor, and one sister, Rebecca Lynn Shutt. Ron was the owner and founder of Taylors Bike Shop, which in so many ways has always been the bike shop for the whole family. It is a tribute to the hardworking nature that he possesses, that Taylors Bike Shop is a success. Even after reluctantly retiring, his sons often reminded him that his shadow was worth more than all their labor put together. Ron had a great love for his Savior, and was always willing to serve and sacrifice to further the gospel. His testimony will be a constant reminder for all those who shared in it. Anyone who was fortunate enough to find themselves wrapped in Rons love never doubted that he was sincere. Our hearts are with you, until we meet again.
