Rose Chavez

Rose J. Chavez, 79, entered into eternal rest peacefully with her daughter, Camilla, granddaughter Cristina and her friends Megan & Cody by her side on Monday, August 4, 2014 is Scottsdale, AZ. She was born January 6, 1935 to Lorenzo and Mary Jimenez in Safford, AZ. Rose is now home with Heavenly Father. She was well known in Safford as the little lady who carried her little Chihuahua in her purse that she said was her Pitbull, Punky. She was always seen walking around at Wal-Mart or yard sales. She is survived by her daughters; Camilla (Hector) Gomez, Cherry (Rayme) Arrellin, son; Rudy Ybarra, granddaughters; Cristina Gomez, Nikki Hernandez, and many more grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces and sisters. Rose was preceded in death by her husband Bobby Chavez, Sr., her sons Bobby Chavez, Jr., Malcom Paul and daughter Carol Chavez. A viewing for Rose will be held on Saturday, August 16th at 9:00 a.m. with the Rosary to follow at 10:00 a.m. and the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Interment will be in the Safford Cemetery following the services.
