Rosemarie Gallegos Taylor Nana Rosemarie Gallegos Taylor passed away unexpectedly at her home on October 25, 2007. Sophie Garcia, her deceased mother, greeted her at heavens gate. Rosemarie was a devout Catholic, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. Rosemarie was born on May 16, 1954 to John L. Gallegos and Sophie Garcia of Salida, Colorado. She attended Longfellow Elementary and Salida High School, graduating in 1972. In the fall of 1972, she met and married Toby Donald Taylor, her soul mate for 35 years. She is also survived by her two children, Buffy Elaine (Taylor ) Aspittle, Randy Dutch Taylor; father, John L. Gallegos; step-mother, Quirina Gallegos; brother, Michael A. Gallegos; sisters, Monica R. Gallegos, Trena A. Gallegos; grandchildren, Meghan Elizabeth Aspittle, Michael Anthony Aspittle, both whom brought tremendous amounts of joy to her life; 3 nieces; 2 grand nieces and 2 great nephews. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins, including a very special cousin, Vicki Garcia, who is very special in our hearts. Rosemarie graduated from St. Mary Corwin Nursing School in Pueblo, Colorado in 1977. As a nurse for 34 years, Rosemarie brought loving care and comfort to so many with her winning smile, cheerful attitude, sense of humor, a this too shall passphrases. Rosemarie was a person whom her entire family drew strength from. She took loving care of her mother when her health failed and continued to care for her until she was called home. Rosemarie had many passions, some of which included cooking and taking care of her family, knitting and sewing, riding with her husband on their motorcycle and most of all spoiling her grandchildren. Rosemarie was soul mate and best friend to so many. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Rosary Services with a Mass to follow will be held Monday, October 29, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. at the Blessed Sacrament Parish, 9757 South 1700 East. A reception will be held afterward at the church Social Hall. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Breast Cancer Foundation. Services under the direction of McDougal Funeral Home.
