In Loving Memory of

Rosemary Nabor

September 7, 1951 – November 28, 2024

Rosemary Nabor, a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, teacher, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2024, at the home of her daughter, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on September 7, 1951, to Aurelio and Celia Montijo, Rosemary grew up in Eloy, Arizona, alongside her three beloved sisters, Terry, Mandy, and Lupita. Their bond was beautiful and unbreakable, forming the foundation of Rosemary’s deep appreciation for family and connection.

In 1974, Rosemary married her soulmate, Max Nabor. Together, they built a life filled with love and devotion in the Clifton/Morenci community, where they shared 50 beautiful years of marriage. Rosemary and Max raised two children, Agapito and Celia, who were the light of her life.

Rosemary’s life was one of service and faith. A devoted member of the Catholic Church, her spiritual strength guided her through life’s challenges, including a courageous 14-year battle with cancer. Her unwavering faith was an inspiration to all who knew her.

After marrying Max, Rosemary moved to the Clifton area, quickly becoming a vital part of the community. For nearly two decades, she worked at the family business, Nabor’s Barbershop as a barber, fostering meaningful friendships with customers and witnessing generations of young lives flourish.

A lifelong learner and natural educator, Rosemary pursued her dream of teaching, earning her degree from Northern Arizona University. For 20 years, she poured her heart into her work as a third-grade teacher at Morenci School District. Rosemary’s kindness, patience, and dedication left a profound impact on her students, many of whom credit her with shaping their futures.

Rosemary is survived by her devoted husband, Max; children, Agapito and Celia; sisters, Amanda (Frank) Nabor and Lupita (Ed) Farmer; in-laws, Edward Lara, Edward (Grace) Nabor, Frank (Amanda) Nabor, Gloria (Joe) Morales, Pat Nabor, and Peter Nabor; her uncle and aunt, Frank and Gloria Acuna; and extended family, including William and Dolores Nabor, David and Cecilia Montijo, and numerous family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Aurelio and Celia Montijo; sister, Terry Lara; mother and father-in-law; Agapito and Manuela “Nellie” Nabor; nephews, Armando Nabor and Joseph Morales; sister-in-law, Diana Nabor and many beloved relatives.

Rosemary’s life was a testament to the power of love, faith, and community. She touched the lives of all who knew her, and her warmth, kindness, and steadfast spirit will be deeply missed.
