Rosie Mary Freeman Bellamy, 94, of Duncan passed away August 28, 2013 at home. Rosie was born February 1, 1919 to Frank and Emma Elwood Freeman. Rosie and her husband, Clyde, came west from Oklahoma, where Rosie found work in the cotton fields and Clyde worked in the copper mines. She enjoyed quilting, cooking and gardening. Her daughter, Roseffie and herself, owned and operated the El Charro Restaurant in Clifton for 12 years. Rosie created a legacy of six generations of women including herself, that have followed in her footsteps and are not afraid to work hard. She was the matriarch of a tight-knit clan, who will remain as such. Rosie is survived by her children; Roseffie Bellamy McBride, John Bellamy, Dorthy Bellamy Eldred, Allen Bellamy, Richard Bellamy, Lydia Bellamy Stephens and John Lee Bellamy; siblings, Rosevelt, Delton, Jimmy, and Wyomie; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Rosie was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde; son, Harry; granddaughter, Dail Ellen McBride; and siblings, Lorine, Marion, Alton, Arizona, and Masell. Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at the Duncan LDS Stake Center. Viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. with funeral services to follow at 11:00 a.m. Services will be conducted by Pastor Brad Boyd of the First Baptist Church of Duncan. Interment will follow at the Sheldon Cemetery.
